It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Katarina Tkalec, on December 24, 2023 at the age of ninety-nine, just weeks before her 100th birthday.
Beloved wife of the late Ferdinand Tkalec. Dearest mother of Ferdinand Jr. (Maria Rupnik); cherished mamca of Andrea (Alexandre Bélanger-Fortin) and Gabrielle (Hasan Ahmed); loving great-grandmother of Felix Anton. She will be sadly missed by many loved relatives and friends both in Canada and Slovenia.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, December 29, from 2 to 7 p.m. (prayer service to be held at 3 p.m.) at: J.A. Guilbault Funeral Home Inc., 5359 St. Michel Blvd. (below Masson), Montreal, 514 721-4925.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Vladimir Parish, 3470 St. Joseph Blvd. East, Montreal.
Burial will take place at a later date at Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges Cemetery.
