Passed away peacefully, on December 2, 2023 at the age of eighty. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Darinka Kustec and was the loving and devoted father of Doris (Sergio Masciotra) and Peter (Melissa Thibodeau). He will always be the cherished Dedek (grandfather) of Jordan, Jonathan, Danika and Mila. He will be sadly missed by his sister Elizabeth, his brothers Stefan and Ivan in Slovenia, as well as brothers and sisters in-law, nephews, nieces and many other relatives and friends.
He will forever be known for his kindness and generosity, always ready and willing to help his family and friends. He had a passion for gardening, building things, roasting pigs, making wine, and always having great times with his family and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday, December 10, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (prayer service to be held at 2 p.m.) at the J.A. Guilbault Funeral Home Inc., 5359 St. Michel Blvd. (below Masson), Montreal, T. 514 721-4925.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Vladimir Parish, 3470 St. Joseph Blvd. East, Montreal, thence to the Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the St. Vladimir Parish.
